This procedure allows the user to “borrow” a license for a period of up to 90 days. This can be useful for working offline or if your internet connection is unstable. It does mean that one license is taken from the server, so for a network license with 10 workplaces, it will mean only 9 will remain available on the server for other users during this period. Used licenses for your site license may be controlled by clicking on the button “Check used/available workplaces”.

1. Run the ZSoil Protection Manager (Search for ZSoil Protection Manager 2026 or it can be found under Program Files\ZSoil\Tools v2026\ZPrtMngr)
2. Choose date within the next 90 days and press the button “Borrow license from protection server”

3. Wait for confirmation

4. Close the ZSoil Protection Manager with the OK button

If you are having trouble activating your license because your firewall is blocking the connection to the ZSoil Protection Manager, then the second activation method may allow you to bypass the firewall and “borrow” a license for a period of up to 90 days. To do this, please follow the instructions below :

1. In the protection manager, after giving your Protection Key, please click on the “Activate license manually in web browser to bypass firewall” button. The below window will open where you can choose a date 1-90 days in the future before clicking “Get activation key through the zsoil.com website“
2. A form will open in your browser where all the fields are pre-filled including your computer info. You don’t need to fill any more information before clicking “Get Activation Key“.
3. This opens a new page with your activation key. Please copy the ~3 lines of text and paste it into the “Activation Key” field in the window above. Then click “Activate license with specified Activation Key“. Wait for confirmation that the license was activated successfully.
4. Close the ZSoil Protection Manager with the OK button
