ZSoil Day 2024 Presentations

39 years of ZSoil & Structures
Numerics in Geotechnics and Structures 2024
The 2024 meeting brought together ZSoil users, engineers and researchers on
30 August 2024 at HEIA in Fribourg, Switzerland,
marking 39 years of ZSoil & Structures.
This year’s presentations cover a broad range of practical and research
applications, including deep excavations, interactions between tunnel boring
machines and piles, tunnelling in anhydrite-containing rock, heat exchangers,
timber structures and construction around urban railway stations.
Modelling topics include moving loads and masses, probabilistic and
reliability analysis, small-strain stiffness anisotropy, comparisons between
predictions and measurements, and workflows using Rhino and Python, alongside
collaborative modelling practices and developments in ZSoil 2025.
The presentations from the four technical sessions are available below.
