Running ZSoil on Windows 11 I get an error when opening ZSoil or there is a big lag/delay
For recent versions of Windows 11 WMIC has become a “Feature on Demand” (FoD). It means that for new computers with the latest version of Windows 11 25H2, WMIC is by default not installed.
This feature is used by ZSoil when controlling the licensing, which has created some problems when launching the program.
We have released ZSoil v25.04 with a fix to this issue, however if users wish to run older versions of ZSoil they should install WMIC by following the instructions in the following link : WMIC feature installation instructions
This may also help to speed up the opening of ZSoil, as the fix implemented in v25.04 sometimes results in some lag when using the software.
